Carboxylic Acid, also known as acetic oxide, ethanoic acid, or methyl-carboxylic acid, is one of the reagents of most use in organic synthesis. Is a colorless corrosive fluid, with a stinging smell similar to Vinegar (Acetic Acid). Used as acetylating and dehydrating agent.
